NOSTALGIA HEHE. I never watched the show consistently though :OO only ever read the books. Journey to the West is like the best thing ok no one can ever tell me otherwise xD

My Chinese was never good enough so that I could read the books sobs

but this show was fantastic oh my God

I think we ripped the series from our neighbors or something in the States it was pretty gr8

and the new Nezha was so awesome - great animation, strong female characters (the dragon princess okay), moral ambiguity w/the dragon king and whatnot, and a strong overarching plot

although the dad was still a really bad parent

I mean c’mon he basically tried to kill his son when he was born :P

oh haha, I did read them in simplified versions, since my chinese isn’t good enough to read the originals without a massive headache either ;o; I’d love to be able to though, my mum says they are actually a super huge literary delight hehehe

heheheeeeee omg, I wish I’d watched more of it when I was a kid. All I remember are the beginning and ending theme songs u___u

and eeeeeeeee!! haha, nezha is the same deal for me, I watched it ages ago and only remember the theme song. The dragon princess sounds awesome though eeeeeee.

also just yeah pfff, I guess even in adaptations it’s hard to portray li jing as anything other as a bad parent :’) though to be fair nezha was a mutant deity-baby……. hehe, my favourite thing is still when nezha appears in xiyouji though!! just, stories and deities intermingling woohoo >u<

Even shows like Queer as Folk have more recurring straight characters than most shows have recurring LGBTQ+ characters. How sad is that?

You don’t know the luxury you have in that.

So before you treat us like we’re whiny and irrational, just remember that we only want a little of what you have ALWAYS had.
